Claude Haiku 5.5 in GitHub Copilot: available on five plans, from Pro to Enterprise
Since Oct 9, Claude Haiku 5.5 has been available on five plans, from Pro to Enterprise. Also new: two GitHub accounts in the app and a grid of agent sessions in VS Code 1.141.

GitHub Copilot now includes Claude Haiku 5.5 on the Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise plans. If you're on one of these five plans, the model is included in your plan.
Sandbox for the agent. In Copilot CLI, the `/sandbox enable` command turns it on. It restricts the agent's file system, network and credentials. It works on macOS 15 and later, on Linux with bubblewrap 0.5.0 and later, and on Windows 11 with the latest updates.
In Copilot CLI, the `/model` command shows models from a running Ollama alongside Copilot's cloud models, starting with CLI version 1.0.94-0. The model must support tool calling and streaming. You install Ollama and the model yourself beforehand; the CLI doesn't download them. After you select one, you get the options "Add and use for this session" or "Add without switching", and no CLI restart is needed. Choosing a model doesn't turn on offline mode; for that, there's the COPILOT_OFFLINE=true variable.
In the GitHub Copilot app, you can keep your Copilot license and your repositories under different GitHub accounts, for example a corporate license and a personal code repository. In VS Code 1.141, agent sessions appear side by side in the grid of the Agents window, and the "Open worktree cleanup" command frees space taken by unused worktrees.
Cloud and local sandboxes are described in separate sections of GitHub's documentation.
