• ·The vendor is Mistral AI, a Paris company founded in April 2023. The Le Chat assistant launched in February 2024 as a web chat; iOS and Android apps arrived on 06.02.2025, alongside a Pro subscription for $14,99 per month.
• ·On 28.05.2026, Mistral merged its Le Chat assistant and coding agent into one product called Vibe: chats, settings, and paid plans transferred automatically. Checked 19.08.2026: mistral.ai/products/le-chat redirects to mistral.ai/products/vibe, the page says «Le Chat is now Vibe», and the working entry point remains chat.mistral.ai (renaming reports: the-decoder, winbuzzer, cybernews, 28.05-01.06.2026).

Voice input runs on its own Voxtral model (July 2025), conversation memory was added in September 2025; since January 2025, a content deal with France-Presse has been in effect — the assistant answers using the AFP news archive dating back to 1983.
