Codex Security Cloud is getting a major update: access to cybersecurity models through Daybreak Blue is enabled by default. It scans entire GitHub repositories, continuously checks new commits, triages findings, removes duplicates, and prepares fixes for review, even when the laptop is closed. The plugin is available in Codex desktop and web.

In August, Codex Security Cloud could already be configured for new commits after connecting GitHub. Now OpenAI enables Daybreak Blue in Cloud by default. The service triages findings, removes duplicates, and prepares fixes for review, even when the laptop is closed.
First run. The plugin is available in Codex desktop and web. For the first scan, connect GitHub, select a repository and Cloud environment, then start the scan. Cloud builds a threat model for the repository and checks vulnerability candidates in an isolated environment. It does not change code itself: a person reviews the patch, after which it can become a draft PR.
Cost. Cloud charges by tokens. Before paid use, the customer receives a notification and confirms the charges. Without funding, scanning stops.
The research preview is available to ChatGPT Enterprise, Edu, Business, and Pro users, while Daybreak Blue works only within Cloud.
