Who it is for. For those who need short clips for social media, ads, or covers: dynamic movement is considered Kling's signature strength, and resolution reaches 4K. And for those who want to try it for free: credits are granted every day, and animating one photo takes just a couple of minutes.

Top ten, but not the top. In the Artificial Analysis text-to-video-with-sound arena, Kling 3.0 ranks in the middle of the top ten at around 1110 points - above Veo 3.1, but below leaders that American and Chinese models replace every few weeks (August 2026 roundups).

Paid tiers. Base prices range from $10 for Standard to $180 for Ultra. The first subscription is sold at up to 30% off, and annual billing takes off another 34%. Ultra has become more expensive: it cost $128 at launch in August 2025 and rose to $180 by January 2026.

Rights to videos are better than reviews suggest. We checked the policy.

Your content. Kling explicitly disclaims ownership: copyright to uploaded and generated content remains yours, and commercial use of the result is allowed on paid plans. On the free plan, it is prohibited, and the plan card says so directly.

The service license is not forever. There is a scare story online about a "perpetual Kling license to your content." It is absent from the current policy: the license is non-exclusive, lasts for the business's operational period, and can be revoked by writing to support. The words "perpetual" and "irrevocable" do not appear in the policy text at all.

The gallery shares with others. Other users can use a video published to the feed as a reference and recreate it. Do not want to share? Just do not publish it: this does not apply to private generations.

Strict moderation. The service blocks questionable prompts at input and bans accounts for bypasses. The jurisdiction is Chinese: data is handled under Kuaishou's rules, which is worth keeping in mind for work projects.

The choice is not "which is better," but what work you need: Kling makes energetic videos cheaply, Veo 3.1 follows the script precisely.
